Afghanistan names its team to play New Zealand in a one-off test.

Afghanistan’s team has been revealed for the forthcoming one-off Test match against New Zealand, which is scheduled to begin in Greater Noida, India on September 9. Afghanistan has three uncapped players in its squad: Khalil Ahmed, Shams Ur Rahman, and Riaz Hassan. Rashid Khan, who has been counseled to take a vacation from the game’s longest format, is already absent for Afghanistan.

A side injury has also ruled out fast bowler Naveed Zadran. Rahmat Shah, Ibrahim Zadran, and Azmatullah Omarzai will be with Hashmatullah Shahidi as the leader of Afghanistan. Gulbadin Naib, an all-round player who was included in the preliminary roster, was not chosen.
